January 2012
Small Things in Big Hands:
A small girl decided that she wanted to attend Sunday School at a small church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, the church facility was so small that they could not open their doors to anyone else, and the child had to be turned away. Two years later she became sick and died. While her room was being cleaned they found a small book under her pillow with a note written by her hand saying, “To help build the Little Temple bigger, so more children can go to Sunday School.” Inside the book was 57 pennies that she had saved over the past two years.
The story of the little girl and her pennies made its way to the pastor, Rev. Russell Conwell, and he shared it with the congregation. The newspapers picked it up and it covered the country. It triggered a tremendous giving response that produced a very well-known site in Philadelphia today. The “Little Temple” will now seat 3,300 people with plenty of Sunday School space. It also spawned Temple University and Temple Hospital i.
We need to place some small things in the big hands of God in 2012, believing that the result will be new church plants and greater revival within our existing churches. Together we can do it, one small act at a time.

Let’s build a wall of prayer around these church planters, and remember that you can financially support them through ACTS (Alabama Call to Souls). Contact Alabama North American Missions for more information.
Pastoral Vacancies and Opportunities:
Pastor Anthony Jarry planted The Pentecostals of Phenix City and is looking for someone to take the work. The church has 12 members and is renting a facility, but the church owns about 6 acres. There is great opportunity for revival in the Phenix City/Columbus area!
